Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble

Rhubarb seemed to be popping up everywhere at the Farmer's market this weekend. I was a little skeptical of trying the unusual looking vegetable? fruit? so I split it with my friend. Not knowing how to eat it, I combined it with Strawberries and made a crumble/cobbler. I have to say, I am not really a fan of the Rhubarb. Strawberry cobbler on the other hand would have probably rocked my world! Note taken! But I love trying new things, so no regrets!

FIDM Graduate

I am now a proud FIDM Alum! I'm excited to move forward and see what my future holds! Saying goodbye to FIDM is a little rough though. It has felt like home base since moving to Los Angeles three years ago. There is some comfort knowing that I have made good friends and contacts at FIDM and I will make sure to stay well connected through the Alumni association. Wish me Good luck!

Sunday

Macarons: Nostalgia

Still missing Paris, I decided to pick up some Macarons from Bottega Louie. They remind of the famous Macarons from La Duree in Paris because of the cute little boxes they come in. Of course, nothing beats La Duree, but they definitely hit the spot this weekend as I was nostalgic for the days when I was roaming the streets of Paris. Like the French, I am one to recognize sweet moments and to indulge in them. It's nice to take time out from our busy schedules and breathe. My breathing moment this weekend: a cafe au lait under the sun accompanied with a rose macaron. Happy Sunday and enjoy your week everyone!

Saturday

Vintage Lingerie: indulgence

About a month ago(yes, I'm behind in blogging), my friend and I attended a pop up vintage lingerie soiree. I was most excited because I have a not so secret love affair with lingerie. I love it because of how it makes me feel. Just like all my other clothes, I love waking up in the morning and deciding what set to wear or at night, choosing what sleepwear I want to fall asleep in. I definitely picked up an awesome vintage inspired romper that is just delicious. It is nice to indulge in something that brings a smile to your face. Oh how I love retail therapy.
