Lingerie without the frills

Fantastic Man has debuted a Lingerie collection for men! Opening Ceremony's blog has an in-depth interview with the creators... check it out here. This new line is serious business. It's modern, yet classic and very sexy. Lingerie doesn't always have to mean fancy fabrics with intricate details... it can also be basic and simple. What makes lingerie beautiful is the high quality of fabrics and design aesthetics.

P.S.... Men's underwear isn't only for men, ladies! I love wearing boxer briefs to sleep. Sometimes, It's a great alternative to PJ pants!

Friday

Spring is in the air!

I love bringing the outdoors in and having fresh cut flowers spread through-out my apartment!

Tuesday

Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble

Rhubarb seemed to be popping up everywhere at the Farmer's market this weekend. I was a little skeptical of trying the unusual looking vegetable? fruit? so I split it with my friend. Not knowing how to eat it, I combined it with Strawberries and made a crumble/cobbler. I have to say, I am not really a fan of the Rhubarb. Strawberry cobbler on the other hand would have probably rocked my world! Note taken! But I love trying new things, so no regrets!

FIDM Graduate

I am now a proud FIDM Alum! I'm excited to move forward and see what my future holds! Saying goodbye to FIDM is a little rough though. It has felt like home base since moving to Los Angeles three years ago. There is some comfort knowing that I have made good friends and contacts at FIDM and I will make sure to stay well connected through the Alumni association. Wish me Good luck!

Sunday

Macarons: Nostalgia

Still missing Paris, I decided to pick up some Macarons from Bottega Louie. They remind of the famous Macarons from La Duree in Paris because of the cute little boxes they come in. Of course, nothing beats La Duree, but they definitely hit the spot this weekend as I was nostalgic for the days when I was roaming the streets of Paris. Like the French, I am one to recognize sweet moments and to indulge in them. It's nice to take time out from our busy schedules and breathe. My breathing moment this weekend: a cafe au lait under the sun accompanied with a rose macaron. Happy Sunday and enjoy your week everyone!

Saturday

Vintage Lingerie: indulgence

About a month ago(yes, I'm behind in blogging), my friend and I attended a pop up vintage lingerie soiree. I was most excited because I have a not so secret love affair with lingerie. I love it because of how it makes me feel. Just like all my other clothes, I love waking up in the morning and deciding what set to wear or at night, choosing what sleepwear I want to fall asleep in. I definitely picked up an awesome vintage inspired romper that is just delicious. It is nice to indulge in something that brings a smile to your face. Oh how I love retail therapy.

Monday

You Gotta Love Fashion!

Check out this link to a movie premiering soon with Bill Cunningham. He is known as a Fashion Photographer known for capturing images on the street... also known as Street Style.
The clip is definitely inspiring and I can't wait to see the film. But go ahead, take a peek at the teaser! ; )

Paris, Je taime

Paris was a dream. I journeyed there and back in one week for the Salon International de la Lingerie! There are no words to explain the joy I experienced attending such an event AND seeing Paris.

It was amazing to meet lingerie industry folk who had such passion and craft for what they do.

Second, seeing Paris by my lonesome on my own time was so special to me! I'm still thinking about it!
I think everybody should travel alone once in their life!

Au revoir,
Ananda
